An optional wire retention clip (ADC-FLEX-100-WRC) can be used on an Alarm.com Flex IO® sensor. Use the following steps to ensure proper attachment.
To use the optional wire retention clip on an Alarm.com Flex IO® sensor:
- Verify the wired device performs as expected by following the instructions in the Alarm.com Flex IO™ sensor (ADC-FLEX-100) - Installation Guide.
- Confirm that the weatherproof gasket (terminal covering) is inserted correctly – specific install instructions can be found in the linked install guide
- Remove the screw from the backside of the Alarm.com Flex IO® sensor unit (1) to expose the wires (2).

- Attach the wire retention add-on by first clipping the front two sides and then pushing the clip in place (3).

- Secure on the backside of the Flex IO unit with the provided screw (4).
- Create a service loop with the installed wires and secure it with a zip tie.
