Overview
The Alarm.com Smart Chime (ADC-W115C) uses a unique gateway IP address for AP (Access Point) Mode (192.168.173.1), compared to what is used for most Alarm.com cameras.

Explanation
Because the ADC-W115C is a device that connects to an existing network and broadcasts a separate network, it must maintain two network interfaces.
To prevent unexpected behavior, it is important that the IP address range used for the chime's broadcasted network is distinct from the uplink network. Because the ADC-W115C cannot dictate what IP Address it is assigned, AP mode uses an IP address that is unlikely to collide with the AP address assigned to the chime by the user's router.
