LifeSafety Power C8P - Lock Wiring Guide
The ADC-AC-E4MT8-PSE and ADC-AC-E8MT2-PSE kits from LifeSafety Power come with the C8P. The LifeSafety Power C8P is a dual-voltage 8-zone power control module.
The C8P provides eight outputs with their own dedicated inputs.

Note: The outputs on the C8P in the ADC-AC-E4MT8-PSE or ADC-AC-E8M2T16-PSE kits come pre-configured for Normally Open inputs. For more information about other configurations, see LifeSafety Power C4/C4P, C8/C8P - Data Sheet.

When using locking hardware, Alarm.com always recommends checking with the customer's local building codes when physically installing or mounting locking hardware for proper egress door installation.
Note: When making wiring selection for the locking hardware, we generally recommend 18 AWG as it is the industry standard for locking/relay wire. Cat5/Cat6 is not recommended as it is not intended to be used for this application.
To use the C8P:
- Connect the pre-wired terminal block to the desired relay on the LP1502 Door Controller and MR52 Two Door Expansions.
Note: You should not need to change the pre-wired Mercury relay terminal configuration. Should you change this, you will be required to adjust the blue B jumper to match. - Review which input terminal on the C8P the pre-wired terminal block is wired to.
- Connect the lock’s positive wire to the corresponding output’s positive terminal on the C8P. Connect the lock’s negative wire to the corresponding output’s negative terminal on the C8P.
- Set jumper positions based on lock type per the jumper positions table below:
Lock type Jumper positions Mag Lock
Mag Lock with FAI (Refer to E4MT/E8M Fire Input Wiring)
Electric Strike

Note: Set Jumper D according to which input voltage source should be directed to output (lock).
