Can the SRAM battery on the LP1501 PoE Door Controller (ADC-AC-LP1501) and Door Controller (ADC-ACC1-17) be replaced?
No. The rechargeable SRAM battery on the ADC-AC-LP1501 and ADC-ACC1-17 is not field-replaceable. The controller must be returned or replaced if is deemed there is an issue with this battery.
About the SRAM battery
- Currently, only the ADC-AC-LP1501 and ADC-ACC1-17 have a rechargeable battery.
- A fully charged battery will store the controller's database for a minimum of 3 days without input power.
- Up to 48 hours are required to fully charge the rechargeable battery.
- The life of the rechargeable battery is measured in the number of discharge cycles not in years, in this case about 500 cycles. It is the same as a cell phone battery.
