The Access Control System Designer can be used to determine the correct equipment for a customer. For more information about using the Access Control System Designer, see Frequently asked questions.
Note: The Power Budget provided in the Access Control System Designer calculates the maximum budget, not the required amount of power based on the devices selected.

How do I use the Access Control System Designer?
The Access Control System Designer can be accessed above or by visiting Access Control System Designer.
To use the Access Control System Designer:
- In Controller, click
to select the desired controller.
Note: Clicknext to any devices to learn more.
- In Expansions, click
to select the desired expansions (if applicable).
- In Power Supply, click
to select the desired power supply.
- In Enclosure, click
to select the desired size for the enclosure.
- In Readers, click
to select the desired readers.
- In Locks, click
to select the desired locks.
Note: Click to remove all hardware from the system.
What if I need to create more than once system?
To create an additional system, click Add System.
Note: To create a duplicate of a system, click Duplicate next to the name of the existing system.
How can I view a list of parts included in the system?
A list of parts for a created system is available using the Access Control Designer Tool.
To view a parts list for the system:
- In Add Devices, click to expand Export options.
- Click View parts list.
Note: Click Download CSV to download the parts list as a .csv file or click Print to print the list.
How can I view or generate a wiring schematic of the system?
A wiring schematic for a created system can be viewed by clicking Wiring next to the name of the system. Additionally, a wiring schematic can be generated and printed using the Access Control Designer Tool.
To generate a wiring guide for the system:
- In Add Devices, click to expand Export options.
- Click Generate Guides.
