Pause an Access Control user
A user's access can be paused, allowing the customer to keep users and existing credentials while temporarily disabling access. Save time and improve security with a more streamlined and intuitive user access management experience.
Features
- Manually pause and unpause users on the User Access page
- Pausing disables the user's ability to disarm panels, unlock door locks, and open access doors
- Paused users will be moved to the end of the Users list
Requirements
- A Commercial, Commercial Plus, or Smarter Access Control service package
- Access Plan User Management service package add-on
Pause and unpause a user
To pause and unpause a user using the Alarm.com customer website:
Note: Changes regarding pausing or unpausing a user will process within 5 minutes.
- Log in to the Alarm.com customer website.
- Click User Access.
- Click Users.
- To pause a user, click
next to the desired user, then click 
.
- The paused user will appear at the bottom of the Users list and the commands to pause that user will process within 5 minutes.
- To unpause a user, click next to the desired user, then click
.
- The unpaused user will return to its original location on the Users list and the command to unpause the user will process within 5 minutes.
Note: Users can also be paused and unpaused when viewing the individual User Profile.
