Can the same format and facility code be used for both card and PIN transmission?
No. It is not possible to use the exact same format with the exact same facility code for both card and PIN transmission. If the facility code for card transmission matches the facility code from PIN transmission and both formats are the same, it will cause a conflict.
In this situation, the facility code transmitted by the reader for PIN codes will need to be changed, or cards with a different facility code will need to be used.
Note: Some brands of keypads such as HID do not allow you to reprogram a keypad's facility code output once it is initially set without a reprogramming card. For more information on reprogramming a keypad's facility code, refer to the manufacturer.
