What ports do the Access Control door controllers use for outbound communication?

Alarm.com Access Control devices need to be able to communicate with our servers in order to provide the user with a seamless experience.

Important: The following information is proprietary and should not be shared publicly under any circumstances. 

Port and protocols used by Alarm.com Access Control devices

Required 
Devices: LAN -> WAN
Initiator (LAN) Protocol and ports Description
Controller TCP - 7001 (Mercury series only)
TCP - 8001 (Aero series only)
Secure communication channel with Alarm.com.
Controller TCP/UDP - 53 Domain name resolution for reaching Alarm.com servers (if not using LAN-side DNS server)
