Which types of credentials are incompatible with the Alarm.com readers?
The following Access Control credential models are not supported or are incompatible with Alarm.com readers (i.e., ADC-AC-ET-10, ADC-AC-ET-20, and ADC-AC-ET-25).
Note: There may be incompatible card types that are not listed below.
- HID Seos credentials
- These card types will not communicate with Alarm.com readers.
- HID iCLASS
- These card types may communicate with an Alarm.com reader, but will transmit a card's Card Serial Number (CSN) instead of the expected card format and card ID. Usage of a CSN is strongly discouraged as it increases the chances of duplicate card numbers and could result in unauthorized access.
- HID Indala credentials
- These credentials do not work with ADC readers despite using 125 kHz frequency. These cards will not scan at ADC readers and it is unknown whether these cards are ADC-compatible when used with a compatible reader.
- Dahua credentials
- These credentials may transmit incomplete information.
