What is the frame rate for recorded video?

Video clips are recorded at 3 frames per second (FPS) by default. This is user customizable to 1, 2, 3, or 5 FPS depending on the video device; some video device models have a recording maximum of 3 FPS. For more information about adjusting saved video quality, see Adjust saved video resolution, image quality, or frame rate.

The Streaming Video Recorder (SVR) supports up to 30 FPS. It records at the highest frame rate the connected video device can provide.

Note: Internet speeds, browser performance, and/or bandwidth can affect the quality of the image when viewing from the Alarm.com app or Alarm.com customer website. For best results or to see true image quality, it is suggested to download the clip.
