Create/edit an Alarm recording rule

An Alarm video recording rule can record video clips when the system reports an alarm. 

To create an Alarm video recording rule:

  1. Log into the customer website.
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Recording Rules.
  4. Click Add New Rule.
  5. Click Alarm.
  6. Name the new recording rule.
  7. Using the When an alarm is triggered by dropdown menu, select which sensor alarms should trigger a clip recording. 
  8. In During this time frame, select the time frame for the rule to be active.
  9. In Record clips from these cameras, click to select the cameras that should record.
  10. In Video Clip Recipients, click Add Recipients to be notified when the recording rule is triggered. 
    1. Click the entries in the Address Book that are to be notified, or click New to add a new Address Book entry.
    2. Once all desired recipients are selected, click Close.
  11. Verify the recording rule is configured with the correct settings.
  12. Click Save Rule.

To edit an Alarm video recording rule:

  1. Log into the customer website. 
  2. Click Video.
  3. Click Recording Rules.
  4. Click the Edit for the Any Sensor Alarm recording rule.

If you do not see the Any Sensor Alarm recording rule, it has not been created yet.
